CDA Board approves water supply projects, feasibility studies

ISLAMABAD, Aug 13 (APP):Capital Development Authority (CDA) Board on Tuesday approved the conduction of pre-feasibility studies for various water supply projects in Islamabad through the Water and Power Development Authority (WAPDA).
The 11th meeting of the Board chaired by CDA Chairman Muhammad Ali Randhawa, took significant decisions to address the city’s water needs and infrastructure development.
Additionally, a feasibility study will be conducted to explore options for harnessing water lost due to seepage in Khanpur Dam and transporting it to the Sangjani Treatment Plant.
Furthermore, the board approved feasibility studies for the construction of Shahdara Dam and Chiniot Dam in Islamabad, also to be conducted through WAPDA.
In other decisions, the board approved the hiring of a new consultant for the construction of 104 family suites for parliamentarians, terminating the services of the previous consultant. The board also approved the terms and conditions for the auction of commercial plots, aiming to implement an investor-friendly policy and process.
